Konnichi wa!!

Tokyo was great. Both shows were sellouts. We have a new set list and the "bare midriff section" has a new, sophisticated look. Despite the jet lag, Donald sounded fresh and the band-tight. After the shows, I met Jay and Johni who were lucky contest winners from the states. I also got to meet SD alum-Bernard Purdie.

Getting back to jet lag-a few times I thought I was going to fall asleep onstage. Thank God for intermissions. Because it's been a while since I've been out of the country, I've forgotten all my secrets for getting over jet lag quickly. So, if anyone knows anything, please let me know...ASAP!! The 2nd night in Tokyo, I got to front the band for "Dirty Work"!!! I was so nervous; I think I was sleep singing. How did it go? Based on audience reaction and comments from the guys in the band, it went fine. I also got to sing in Fukuoka. Donald is letting me, Carolyn and Vykki take turns with the song.

While in Osaka, I visited Osaka Castle. It was incredible, like a scene from Shogun.

Overall, Japan was great. Despite the fact that I couldn't read any street signs or menus, and couldn't speak one word of the language, I managed to get around pretty easy. It wasn't uncommon for a complete stranger to offer help. In fact, one day I was lost and looking the part, and a woman came up to me, offered assistance, and actually went out of her way to walk me to where I was going [Domo arrigato Yuko].

The promoter for the tour, Massy Hayashi of H.I.P., gave us some really fantastic gifts.

What can I say? Great shows, great accommodations, had a great time. Arrigato Massy san.

The last night in Fukuoka, they took us out to dinner at a beautiful, traditional restaurant. I'm not sure who picked up the tab but it was delicious!

Well, time to catch up on sleep.

Peace out, God bless...

PS For those of you, who tuned in to Ally McBeal, blinked and missed me, thanks for your support.

The Today Show was pretty cool. I got a chance to speak with Katie Couric for a minute. She was very nice.
